Europaforum Northern Sweden arranged a seminar in Brussels about Swedish forestry and its importance for the development of the bio economy, on November 28 in Brussels.
North Sweden European Office, together with regional offices concerned by the development of the Bothnian Corridor in northern Norway, northern Sweden and northern Finland arranged a seminar on the future of the TEN-T Core Network Corridors. The seminar was held at the European Parliament on 18 October 2017.
PRESS RELEASE North Bothnia Line Group: ”The Proposal shows a great understanding of the needs of the industry for the North Bothnia Line” Today, the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) submitted the proposal for the National Transport Plan for the period 2018-2029 to the Swedish Government. The proposal earmarks budget dedicated for the realization of the North Bothnia Line for the construction on the section Umeå-Skellefteå and planning for the section Skellefteå-Luleå.
Mr Pat Cox, European Coordinator of Scandinavian-Mediterranean Core Network Corridor (ScanMed) will visit Almedalen Political Week 2017 by invitation of North Sweden European Office in close cooperation with the Bothnian Corridor.
Politicians as well as representatives from the industry and academia from Norrbotten and Västerbotten visited Brussels April 26 for discussions about ongoing work in the region and in the EU institutions regarding the development of transport policy and financial solutions for infrastructure investments.
